Children With Their Swim Instructor At Swim Lessons
AMERICAN RED CROSS GROUP SWIM LESSONS

The Parks and Recreation Department offers American Red Cross Swim Lessons for children (age 3 by June 1, 2025) and above. 

NOTE: Participants interested in the MEMBERSHIP discount MUST purchase a Codman Pool Membership prior to registering for swim lessons.

Class Descriptions

Guppy (Age 3 by June 1, 2025)
Participants have limited fear of the water & are willing to splash around. Guardian must be willing to get in the water.

Learn to Swim Level I: Water Exploration
Participants are introduced to the water and taught floating and kicking on front and back. This level is for those who have minimal fear of the water.

LTS Level II: Primary Skills
Participants should be comfortable in the water. Ability to fully submerge face, float and kick on stomach and back is needed.

LTS Level III: Stroke Readiness
Participants should be able to hold their breath and submerge face, bob ten times and alternate their arms while kicking on their stomach and back.

LTS Level IV: Stroke Development
Participants are able to jump into water, dive from their knees, perform elementary backstroke kicks and breathe to the side during crawl.

LTS Level V: Stroke Refinement
Participants are able to perform the elementary backstroke, front and back crawl, kicks for the breaststroke and sidestroke, along with a standing dive.

LTS Level VI: Skill Proficiency
Participants should be comfortable diving and able to perform the breaststroke.

Membership and Fees          
Resident Codman Pool Member - $175
Non-Resident Codman Pool Member - $175
Resident Codman Pool Non-Member - $215

Private Swim Lessons
We offer daily private swim lessons on a first come, first serve basis with our WSIs (Water Safety Instructors). 

Registration
The Codman Pool will begin scheduling private lessons starting June 11.
If you would like to schedule private lessons please contact Sheila at sriley@lincnet.org.

Cancellations
All cancellations for private lessons should be made directly with Sheila Harding, Assistant Director at sriley@lincnet.org.
