Parks and Rec Staff will meet children right after school and walk them to class. Please let their teacher know they are attending a Parks and Recreation program. No socks or shoes, long hair must be pulled back. Gymnastics 2A continuation of gymnastics skills based on ability. This is an exciting, engineering-focused program inspired by the popular BattleBots show. No coding experience is required! Students will be divided into groups according to their chess experience. By the end of this session, each student will have had the opportunity to participate in a mini-chess tournament.

Gymnastics 1Learn all aspects of gymnastics in a fun low key atmosphere. The goal here is to feel good about yourself in a no pressure environment. We will try  cartwheels, handstands, forward & backward rolls and round offs. Balance beam, bars and vaulting, bridges and splits will be introduced, along with fun listening games! Parks and Rec Staff will meet children right after school and walk them to class. This is an exciting, engineering-focused program inspired by the popular BattleBots show. No coding experience is required! Students work in teams to design, build, test, and improve their own combat robots throughout the program before putting them to the test in friendly competitions with their peers. The 6-week format gives students plenty of time to iterate on their designs and develop their engineering and problem-solving skills.

This fitness-based class includes stretching, exercises and activities, and movement through music and storytelling. We focus on core strength, balance, and agility, working to improve gross motor skills and cognitive development. Kids are engaged and having fun, all while building strength and body awareness.

This is a consistently popular program that introduces young students to engineering concepts through hands-on building and simple machines using LEGO bricks. Over the course of the program, students build and experiment with motorized and rubber-band cars, catapults, conveyor belts, and our popular Spin Art Machine - a machine that creates art that students can take home!

Spanish in Action! is an engaging, activity-based class designed to help students build their Spanish naturally through games, music, movement, colorful visuals, interactive challenges, conversation, and plenty of hands-on activities. Rather than focusing on memorization, worksheets, or drills, students are encouraged to hear, recognize, respond to, and use Spanish throughout each class. Students explore everyday vocabulary and useful expressions while gradually building toward simple questions, responses, and conversations.
